January 2016

Do you ever find yourself standing in a warm, brown estuary with a leaky bag of wet bait in one hand and a yabbi pump in the other? Do you sport a dreadlocked man bun? Feed hot chips to seagulls? Ever won a meat raffle, or paid $2 for a steak dinner at the RSL? Do you sport a bumbag or a metal detector? Have you ever woken up on a deflated silver goon pillow with sunburn on the roof of your mouth?

If you answered yes, or no, to any of these questions then FRENZAL RHOMB invite you to come and re-tox with them on the amazing "FRIENDLESS SUMMER" tour, hitting URBAN SPREAD this January!

Melbourne punk rock dudes with nothing better to do, CLOWNS along with fellow punk rockers HARD ACHES and HEADS OF CHARM will support at all shows.

Frenzal Rhomb

For those of you with a hankering to taste this finely marinated rock’n’roll delicacy in the live setting, fear not that old age, medical problems and attractive odds at the local greyhounds will keep Frenzal Rhomb off the stage. With a stellar track record for causing absolute pandemonium at any show they play; be it inciting huge circle pits, destroying piñatas of political leaders or drinking every other band’s beer.

Since 2010, Melbourne's four piece hardcore punk hell-raisers, Clowns, have wreaked havoc upon stages and floors around the world unleashing their ferocious, sound of old school hardcore punk with tweaks that uniquely make their sound, their own. Combining a vicious base layer of punishing punk rock combined with influences that range from 77' punk, to underground Australian rock, as well as thrash, doom, noise and powerpop all loaded with chaos, energy and fun. Clowns really know no boundaries in regards to leaving punters stoked that they left their couches and came out to see them at a show.

The Hard Aches

Adelaide indie punk outfit The Hard Aches spent much of 2015 on the road or in the studio; playing over 50 shows whilst self producing and recording their debut record 'Pheromones'; which featured the singles 'Get Like This' & 'Get Like This' and St Helens, which was voted 2nd in a list of the 15 top Australian songs of 2015 by The AU Review. Singer Ben Davids fascinating weave of lyrics are cushioned by a frenetic & relentless guitar/drums combo tipping its hat to The Gaslight Anthem, You am I, & The Cars.

Heads of Charm

HEADS OF CHARM is Lachlan Ewbank, David Gagliardi and Sam Whiting. HEADS OF CHARM released new single SPAIN IS ON A ROLL which was premiered by MESS+NOISE. The release of SPAIN inspired TRIPLE J UNEARTHED to place previous single CHECK CHECK CHECK back into programming and SPAIN began with daily airplay. STEPH HUGHES then featured the new single in ‘Highlights of the Week’, and ROSIE BEATON had the guys on her show for an interview. At TRIPLE J proper there’s been airplay on ‘Mornings’, ‘Home & Hosed’ and even a tweet about the track from RICHARD KINGSMILL. SPAIN has also received airplay on 2FBI, 3PBS and strong support at 4ZZZ, 6RTR and 3RRR with plays by multiple presenters at all three stations.
